Qualifications and background
I achieved a first class honours BA majoring in Psychology from the University of Queensland in 1988. My passion for psychology, and in particular the application of psychology in the workplace was re-ignited and I then completed my Masters in Occupational Psychology at Birkbeck University in 2001. I then went on to complete my qualifications in coaching and supervision, whilst always keenly pursuing relevant continual professional development. I am passionate about learning.
My professional qualifications and affiliations include:
-
Associate Fellow of The British Psychological Society (AFBPsS),
-
Registered Occupational Psychologist (HCPC)
-
Accredited Professional Executive Coach (Association for Coaching),
-
Accredited Coaching Supervisor (CSA).
I hold the BPS Level A and B (now called the EFPA Level 1 and 2) and am qualified in the following psychometric tests:
-
MBTI (Step I and II)
-
Hogan Personality Inventory,
-
EQ-i 360.
These tools can be helpful in the coaching process for raising self-awareness and better understanding behaviour.
Before moving into consulting in 2000, I worked in a variety of roles, including retail, recruitment, marketing, and facilities management. I have worked independently as the director of my own business for the past 8 years, been part of large, multi-discipinary teams, experienced the thrill and fear of being a newly appointed junior manager, and led large and disparate teams in a variety of contexts.
